TRIR
Total Recordable Incident Rate - The total number of incidents resulting in employee injuries, whether leading to time away from work or not.
FAI
First aid injury - refers to any injury that can be treated on the job site without causing lost work days.
MTI
Medical Treatment Injury – requires medical treatment but may not always result in time away from work.
LTI / LTIR
Lost Time Injury / Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate - Individual occurrences of injury in the workplace which results in the employee having to take a minimum of one full working day away from work.
LTIR / LTIFR
Lost Time Injury Rate / Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate - A metric used to determine the rate of LTIs per 100 employees sometimes referred to as lost time injury rate.
Notifiable Injury
An injury that WHS/HSE needs to be notified of. Recordable work-related injuries and illnesses are those that result in one or more of the following: medical treatment beyond first aid, one or more days away from work, restricted work or transfer to another job, diagnosis of a significant injury or illness, loss of consciousness, or death.
