The Sign-In Book is where you review who is on site, correct mistakes and understand how HammerTech calculates hours and presence.
View the Sign-In Book
Go to the Site Diary.
Select the day you want to review.
Open Options > Sign-In Book.
You will see workers and visitors, their sign-in times, sign-out times (if recorded) and any licence or postcode flags.
Manually Sign Someone Out
If someone leaves without signing out, you can close their record.
Find the worker in the Sign-In Book.
Select the sign-out option beside their name.
Confirm the action.
This updates hours for that worker and ensures the headcount is correct for the rest of the day.
How Hours Are Calculated
HammerTech calculates hours from the time a worker signs in until the time they sign out.
Points to keep in mind:
If a worker does not sign out, hours will not be correct.
Entries created through static QR never produce hours because static QR does not support sign-out.
Visitor entries are recorded for evacuation purposes but do not count as worker hours.
Using a visitor-only device by mistake will record the person as a visitor, not a worker.
Data Patterns to Be Aware Of
These patterns help explain unexpected figures in the Site Diary:
Workers using a visitor-only device will not appear under worker hours.
Multiple sign-in devices at a single gate can cause inconsistent data if workers use the wrong one.
False Response warnings on checklists do not change diary data unless a workflow triggers extra actions.
Static QR sign-ins appear under visitors and remain there until someone manually signs them out, if your site uses that practice.
