The Permits module digitises the full Permit to Work lifecycle, including:
- Configuring Permit Zones and Permit Types
- Subcontractor or builder-led requests
- Review and approval workflows
- Start/stop Permits and Closeout
- Worker sign-in/out capability
- Digital Permit Board visibility
Permits are tied to Permit Zones, Employers, SWMS, Equipment, and workers. Sign-in data, inspections, and attachments can also be logged against each permit.
Permit status definitions:
| Status | Meaning |
| Awaiting Review | Subcontractor has submitted a request; site team needs to approve |
| Approved | Approved, upcoming within permit window |
| In Progress | Work has been marked as started |
| Awaiting Closeout | Work has been stopped but Closeout Checklist sign-off still pending |
| Completed | Work finished and closeout (if required) completed |
| Expired | Approved permit window passed without being started or completed |
