What are permits?
A permit is a formal, documented, and structured document, used to control high-risk, non-routine activities. It acts as a written agreement between site management, supervisors, and workers, outlining specifically what work will be done, when it will occur, the hazards involved, and the precise safety precautions that must be in place before work begins.
The Permits module lets you configure:
- Configuring Permit Zones and Permit Types
- Subcontractor or builder-led requests
- Review and approval workflows
- Start/stop Permits and Closeout
- Worker sign-in/out capability
- Digital Permit Board visibilitys
All configuration occurs under Administration and Project Settings, with setup required before any permits can be issued.
Permits are tied to Permit Zones, Employers, RAMS, Equipment, and workers. Sign-in data, inspections, and attachments can also be logged against each permit.
