Company Deactivation: Deactivating a company profile will disable access across the entire platform. This includes all associated projects, meaning the company and its users will no longer be active anywhere in the system.
Project Deactivation: Deactivating a project only impacts that specific project. The company profile and its access to other active projects remain unaffected.
When to choose Company Deactivation
- Use this when the company should no longer be active anywhere in the system:
- The company is no longer working with your organization at all
- Contract or relationship has fully ended across all projects
- The company was added in error or is a duplicate
- You need to remove all user access tied to that company at once
When to choose Project Deactivation
- Use this when the company should only be removed from one specific project:
- The company’s work is complete on that project
- They’ve been replaced or are no longer participating in that job
- You’re cleaning up project access without affecting other work
- The company is still active on other projects
Deactivate Employers
- Go to Employers
- Optional: Go to project > employers to narrow down the list.
- Select the Employer
- Use the Options cog > Deactivate
- Deactivation preserves data and disables the employer
