CHECKLIST and CUSTOM FIELDS IN "EQUIPMENT TYPES"
There are some items which people get confused with in relation where they appear
These are Checklist Items (One Per Line), Company Custom Level Fields and Project Level Custom Fields
Here is where they appear:
Checklist Items (One Per Line): Only get displayed to the Main Builder, either when approving equipment that a Subcontractor added or when adding equipment themselves (as the Main Builder)
Company Custom Level Fields: Get displayed to both the Main Builder and the Subcontractor when either of them add new equipment
Project Level Custom Fields: Get displayed to both the Main Builder and the Subcontractor when either of them add new equipment
Below you will find a detailed overview of where they appear during the various processes/workflows.
SUBCONTRACTOR > ADDING EQUIPMENT
- Log in
- Go to project
- Select equipment
Select + to add
CUSTOM FIELDS NOTE
(these are set up by the main builder via Admin > Equipment Types > Custom FieldsCompany level custom fields AND Project level custom fields appear on the create page, displayed to the Subcontractor and/or main builder (depending on who is adding the equipment)
Company level appear in the "Equipment Details" area during this add equipment process
Project level appear in the "Project Specific Equipment Details" area during this add equipment process
- Submit for approval
MAIN BUILDER ADDING EQUIPMENT
The process is the same as the Subcontractor adding equipment except for two key differences...
- The Main Builder will see the "Equipment Checklist"
- The Main Builder has the ability to approve immediately as part of the create process
MAIN BUILDER APPROVING EQUIPMENT
When the Main Builder logs in, they will see the equipment awaiting approval on their dashboard in the "Employer Self Service - Awaiting Review" tile. They can filter this tile to only show equipment, if desired
The other option is to click equipment, which takes you to the main equipment landing page, where you will see the item with the message "Pending Review". To review and approve...
- Go to the equipment via one of the above
- Click Options > Edit
- Review all fields
