These instructions are for creating a new worker profile from scratch. For importing an existing worker from a different project, see instructions here.
Instructions
- Log into HammerTech
- Select a project from the Company Overview drop-down on the top right
- Select Personnel > New Orientation
- Select the Employer the worker will be associated with
- Enter the worker's Personal Details:
- Name
- Job Title
- Date of Birth
- Preferred Language
- If needed, upload the worker's Profile Picture and Orientation Acknowledgement
- Enter the worker's Address Details, Contact Details and Emergency Contact Details
- You can add a project specific identifier or an additional internal identifier for the worker, for example, Sticker Number or Orientation Number (these fields are also searchable)
Note: to configure additional identifiers, make the profile picture mandatory, or manage what fields are included in a worker enrollment, please contact your Customer Success Representative.
- Add the worker's licenses, tickets and certifications
Note: if multiple certifications are indicated on the same card, click the Add another on same card button to copy over the card details
- Complete the Medical Checklist for the worker
-
Assign JHAs to the worker
- If the worker has completed their inductions outside of HammerTech, you can mark company and project induction sections completed
-
Create the worker:
- Create & Approve - the worker's profile is created and approved immediately; you are returned to the Personnel list
- Create, Approve, then add another from same employer - the worker's profile is created and approved immediately; you are taken to the New Induction page to create another worker
-
Create, don't approve, send test to person - the worker's profile is created, and the induction test is sent to the worker to complete
Note: If the personal details (Employer, Full Name, and DOB) match a worker that already exists in the system, you will receive an alert with the option to use that worker's details instead, to avoid creating a duplicate.
If someone is duplicated in the system their profiles can be merged (see Company > Merging Existing Personnel Profiles To Avoid Duplication).
