When creating Safe Plan of Actions in the system, and when logged in as a Main Contractor user, SPAs can be created and accepted in one step, or can be submitted for review by another user.
The steps below explain how you can create and complete a Safe Plan of Action.
Initial steps to create...
- Login to Hammertech
- Using the left-hand menu, click on Safe Plan of Actions then select Create New
- Enter the Work Date & Time, select the submitting Employer, and enter the Title
- Select Create to go into the Safe Plan of Action form
Once created, more detailed steps follow...
- Enter a Description of Work if needed
- Select Submit and Accept Review to approve the Safe Plan of Action when submitting it
- OR select Just Submit to submit the Safe Plan of Action for approval at a later time
- Select the Location of the work for this Safe Plan of Action
- Next is the Tasks, Hazards and Controls section where you can select Add Task to create a task
- To create a new task, click Add Task then enter a Description and click Add
- To use an existing task, select it from the list via the checkbox and click Add
- You can also add Hazards and/or Controls at this point, and also Edit and Delete too
- Note: Once an existing task has been selected, it will no longer show in the selectable list
- Once tasks have been added, there are a few additional steps you can do, if required
- Allocate an Assignee
- Add Hazards and Controls
- Note: As with adding a task, you can either create a new Hazard or Control OR you can use an existing one by selecting it via the checkbox
- Enter any configured Additional Details
- Select Associated Permits that will be utilized during the work covered by this Safe Plan of Action
- Select Associated Equipment that will be utilized during the work
- Select Associated RAMs that will be utilized during the work
- For Worker Assignment click the blue + to add workers
- Select Signed-In Workers or Signed-In Visitors to bring attendees over from the Sign-In Book
- Select Personnel from the provided drop-down
- Add custom names in the (Other) Name field
- Once the above is done, select Add
- Note: Attendee Locations can be added from the Safe Plan of Action details page
- Add any Observations that may have been discussed during the Safe Plan of Action session
- Finally, If the option to Submit and Accept Review option was selected, the configured Review Checklist will be available at the bottom of the form.
- Select Save to submit the Pre-Task Plan and go into the submitted Safe Plan of Action detail page
